Fully bespoke memorials

When nothing standard feels right, we design with you from a blank sheet, shape, stone, carving and lettering. We'll draw it, price it honestly, and take as long as you need.

“Maggi at Charles Lipton made everything so easy for me when I was organising my family gravestone. From taking care of the paperwork, organising the cleaning of the gravestone and doing the inscription on it everything was done with consideration and professionalism. From the first moment of speaking with Maggi at Charles Lipton I felt at ease knowing that they would sort out everything and that I wouldn’t have to worry about anything. That turned out to be the case and I would thoroughly recommend Charles Liptons services”

Common questions

What's included in the price?

Everything: the stone, all lettering, photography, the flower vase, delivery, council fees and VAT. The price we quote is the price you pay, nothing appears later.

Can you match an existing family stone?

Usually, yes. Bring a photograph, or tell us the cemetery and lair, and we'll go and look. Matching granite colour, shape and lettering style is a regular part of our work.

Do cemeteries restrict what we can choose?

Most councils set rules on memorial sizes and foundations. We know the regulations for cemeteries across Glasgow and the surrounding areas, and we handle the permit for you, so anything we propose will already comply.

How long does a memorial take?

It varies with the design, the granite and the council's permit times. We'll give you an honest estimate when we agree the design, and keep you informed throughout.
